Your Hunt:
What Is Provided
As all hunters
know, there is no guarantee when you set out for the woods in search of that trophy buck.
We want to see you take a real beauty, and there is no bad place to hunt on the farm.
You will arrive after Noon on day one and receive a land briefing. Maps and a road tour
will be provided. Wind and weather strategies will also be discussed. If time permits, we
will get you out to your tree in time to hunt on that day. Tree stands have been
strategically placed in areas where trophy deer are known to visit. After the initial
meeting, you will be left to hunt on your own, although I will be available for advice and
to answer questions.
You will be our guest at the farm house. Our farm house has four bedrooms and one full
bath with a shower. Sheets, pillows, blankets, and towels will be provided. You will share
a room with another hunter in your group. A full kitchen with stove, microwave,
refrigerator, dishes, cups and utensils will also be provided. We will stock food in the
form of bacon and eggs, cereal, burger, frozen dinners, soup, and any other easy to
prepare food that you request. Water, soda, and juice will be provided. You will need to
provide your own alcohol, if you wish to have any. Cooking duties will be up to each
hunter and his group. The living room is furnished with comfortable couches, recliners and
chairs for relaxing after a long hunt. A TV and VCR/DVD player is provided, as are movies
and hunting videos.
You will be permitted to hunt up thru noon on the last day of your hunt. A covered outdoor
hanging area for your deer is provided. A locker is located about 20 miles from the farm,
if you should choose to have your deer professionally processed. Several taxidermists are
in the area if youd like to have your trophy completed in Iowa. The closest town
with a gas station and grocery store is Winterset or Greenfield, and they are about 20
miles.
